This tweet popped up on my timeline, I was busy at the time, so I didn’t see the context or know about any twitter storm. It irritated me though, and I expected better from this particular person. So I responded and thought no more about it.
If you’ve been living in a cave and have somehow missed it all, today is the UK General Election, so I went out and cast my vote today. Did you know that at the last general election 9.1m women didn’t vote? And in the last five years women have been disproportionately hit by the austerity cuts?… Read More #GE2015, #greenwhitepurple and the women’s vote
Looks like I’ve been busy this April, so thought I’d do a little recap. I’ve mostly been talking Plus Size it seems.
Since Plus Size Wars has been on I’ve seen a few idiots people comparing plus size girls and women to pets. The two instances that come immediately to mind are, “our pets would be taken off us if we let them get that fat”, and “it’s like with pets, we’ve forgotten what normal looks like”.… Read More Not only #WeAreTheThey, we are also people not animals
The last few days have been incredible, and quite emotional. I’ve never seen anything quite like it, and will always treasure having been there for it. Even her creation is incredible, she was created by William Moulton Marston, whose wife (Elizabeth Holloway Marston – a psychologist) suggested he create a female superhero.
This project will be for women who, whether they ID as feminist or not, have done things which benefit or celebrate women. This is a continually updated project, so feel free to check back. Last Updated: 19/03/15
