I told you I’d be drawing more plus size bloggers, and so here is the new series. Every month I will be illustrating six of my favourite plus size outfits as worn by plus size bloggers, models and others.
Originally that was all, but as this month has proved, there are so many excellent outfits out there that I was finding it difficult to narrow it down to just six. So I will also be adding favourites to a Pinterest board, so you can see what else caught my eye.
Plus size androgynous fashion from Dressing Outside The Box
I absolutely adore this outfit, worn by Isabell Decker, I love the simple lines and just sheer classiness of this. Every single part of this outfit is just perfection. I’ve always liked the androgynous, suited look, but do feel there is a lack of plus size women wearing it, so this is just wonderful!
Plus size floral rock chick from Dress Carcass
I will always love a leather jacket, and I particularly love the juxtaposition of leather with florals as worn by Ushshi. I love the softness of the flowers with the strong lines of the jacket, she looks like some kind of rock goddess. The floral crown finishes it off perfectly. Definitely going to be taking some inspiration from this outfit.
Plus size 90’s cuteness from The Kale Kitten
This is such a cute, fun outfit. I love that t-shirt, and pairing it with the velvet skirt and knee high socks sends me right back to the 90’s. I need to sit and watch The Craft with Amy while she’s dressed like this!
Plus size superpowered outfit from My Fatshion Wonderland
Anyone that knows me will get why I fell in love with this instantly. Wonder Woman (check), Black and white stripes (check), Bright hair (check). It’s perfect, I love the bright turquoise jacket paired with the striped leggings. I really want to raid Ghyslaine’s wardrobe.
Plus size witch beauty from Natalie Means Nice
This makes me little goth heart sing! Natalie looks fucking amazing in this, pure witchy goodness, it’s so simple but so striking. I love the simple necklace too, I usually associate really gothy outfits with quite ostentatious jewellery, but this simplicity really gives it impact. Something I will definitely be taking into account from now on.
Plus size winter pin up from A Vintage Vanity
I’m not sure that my illustration does this outfit justice, I strongly urge you to go check out Jennifer’s instagram (and youtube, and website..) because this photo reminded me so much of those gorgeous vintage illustrations that adorn the covers of sewing and knitting patterns. That skirt looks so cosy and comfy, practical but super stylish. Even my usual preference for dark colours was totally swayed by this pastel dream.
Really hope you’ve liked these as much as me, do let me know in the comments if there were any outfits that really stood out for you in January. And do check out my Pinterest board for more gorgeous plus size outfits.
